RE: [windbg] RE: Windbg does not connec---t after - target reboots

Is this true? I was about to go out and buy 2 firewire cards because I was
under the impression that Microsoft had not updated the usb drivers to
correctly do debugging? Do you have any other information on how to set it up?
The latest Windbg only has options for null modem, local, or 1394… at this
point it seems like anything would be better than serial

Microsoft would like to dump serial ports entirely (they suggested it but
got push-back and retained support in XP, though I’m suspecting it will be
gone for the next version of windows) and go with USB and/or FireWire
(etc.) for debugging. I have not tried USB debugging with XP but it’s
supposed to work…
