NDIS Intermediate MUX 1:N driver

Hello,

I have to develop NDIS Intermediate MUX 1:N driver. The sample in the DDK
has N:1 driver code. Please suggest some links or basics that would help me
to develop mux 1:n intermediate driver.

Is there any sample code in the DDK that would help. I had read in one
posting by Stephan Wolf that for Mux 1:N driver the sample code is not a
good starting point as it is much more complicated. Any guidance and help
would be highly appreciated. I am new to NDIS drivers.

Thanks,

Deepa

Deepa,

I may be able to render some assistance, as I recently wrote a 1:2 MUX driver (XP). I have some sample code which, as it was passed on to my by the folks at Microsoft, I can share. I have sent you an email, let me know if you haven’t received it.

Question; you say you are new to NDIS, are you also new to driver dev? Just asking to get a feel for how best to frame any future replies.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Yes I have received your reply. The sample code would be a great help for me
to start. I am new to NDIS, but I have some experience in driver
development.

Thanks in Advance,
Deepa

Bob,

Might I impose upon you to forward that information to me as well. I also writing a 1:2 mux and this info sounds like I could save some valuable time.

Thanks,
Kyle

Bob, I would like to join the request if possible.

Perhaps you could get the contact at MSFT whom sent you the sample to get
the sample posted in a community accessible way.

Cheers,

Hi Bob,

I would like to join the request too, if possible.

Thanks,
Skaramush.

Well this is what I get for taking a day off…

Sorry about the delay in getting a response out. I will talk to the chap at MSFT to see if he can get the code posted as Dave suggested. To be honest I didn’t think there would be much interest in this; when I scanned the forum a year+ ago to research the issue the number of relevant threads was pretty dismal.

As soon as I hear something back from MSFT I will post the response, in the meantime I will gladly distribute the code to any and all, just email a request to xxxxx@adelphia.net with MUX in the subject.

Bob

Okay, I guess this forum’s server automagically xxxxx’s out email addresses. Sorry bout that.

Perhaps Thomas has some space on NDIS.COM (If I can be so bold as to
volunteer him!) that could serve. Do you really have the ‘go-ahead’ from
the originator of this to send it to whomever?

Regards,
-dave

Kyle, Gene, and Skaramush, copies have been emailed to you; let me know if you haven’t received them.

Dave, would you like a copy too?

Still waiting to here back from MSFT. Perhaps, in my eagerness to please, I have committed a faux pas.

Hmmm… haven’t seen anything yet.
