OT, but since many of us purchase hardware…
I have been trying desperately to purchase a 21 inch monitor from uBid.
Without going into specifics, every time I
believe I’ve secured a purchase there is some “convenient” system error
which violates their own company rules. The net result, in every case, has
been “if you want it, you’ll have to bid more”. (How very convenient for
them.) Nothing
but boilerplate email responses to my inquiries.
On a more positive note, OnSale has never once behaved in this manner… and
on the one occasion when hardware purchased from them was unsatisfactory,
they immediately refunded the price and paid for return shipping (not a
small amount on a 100 pound 21 inch monitor!).
Standard disclaimers apply (no relationship to either company, etc.). Just
trying to save others the frustration I’ve been experiencing. Bad vendors
should be actively avoided.
