In a filter driver, I use pretty much the same technique used in the SFilter
sample to detect when a new volume is mounted, i.e. I intercept
IRP_MN_MOUNT_VOLUME requests. In the completion routine, I retrieve the VPB as
sp->Parameters.MountVolume.DeviceObject->Vpb. So far, it worked well, but
under Japanese NT 4, when mounting a CD, I always get a VPB with
Vpb->DeviceObject = NULL. I’m wondering what might be the difference, or there
is something wrong with the code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
