XP SP1 IFS Kit iostress on W2K SP3

I’m trying to get the IOSTRESS from the XP SP1 IFS Kit CD to run on W2K
SP3. Its crashes with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA whenevr I choose the
“Run Information” tab. Anyone know a work around here? I dont have my
filter driver in the stack, so I know it aint me!

I don’t think it’s meant to run there.
Anyway, why not use the HCT kit, and IoStress from there? I was able to
use ifstest of HCT 11 on Windows 2000.
I think MS should check into this - I also have need to run the HCT
tests on Windows 2000, not just an IoStress.

Hi Dejan. Thanks. Just in case its what you thiught I meant … I’m not
actually running IOSTRESS.CMD from the CD. I’ve installed the HCT Kit and
seem to be up and running.

Sorry. I aint up and running after installing the HCT from the XP SP1 IFK
Kit CD. IFSTEST is running. IOSTRESS is still bug checking. Dejan, sorry
to be a pain, can you explain how I get this IOSTRESS up and running?

By why not install HCT, I meant install it on XP. (Sorry)
I was only able to run the ifstest, not IoStress - I too would like to be
able to run HCT on Windows 2000, as I’m sure everybody else would.

Oh, I see. Well, yes, that works. Unfortunately, I do need W2K Server.
