All,
Just as a note:
I have not used IDA in many years. I just downloaded an update and I
must say that this product has evolved to be amazing. I can recommend it
to anyone.

It was great years before and now it is really amazing. I wonder when it’ll
be able to recreate original C code

It already can convert x86 into a tertiary RISC like assembly language, what
Ilfak calls “microcode”.
Also, there is a plugin which uses IDA like a backend to
perform a very primitive form of C decompiler.
It can be found at http://desquirr.sourceforge.net/

Can it parse the structures and local variables from PDB files?

Nope, it can load function names from PDB, but not upload the data types ,
function args and locals. However,
one could write a plugin for that using DIA, since IDA comes with a SDK.
