WinSock Direct (WSD) on Vista or Longhorn

Hi,

Can anybody help me to know whether WSD is supported on Vista or Longhorn?
How to identify the support for WSD in any Windows OS?

Thanks in advance,
Sumit

Let me elaborate it a bit:

What can be flow of socket application from user space to the NIC?

traditional flow:
socket app->sockets->switch->1. SAN traffic, 2. Non-SAN traffic
in case of 1 it goes further to SAN DLL-> SAN proxy driver->SAN transport->
NIC
in case of 2 it goes further to TCP/IP->NDIS miniport-> NIC

So in case of Vista and Longhorn server OS does SAN component exist which
takes care of SAN traffic?

hope i made it clear now…!!!

Thanks,
Sumit
