Can anyone tell us if the Windows Server 2003 release will have any
compatibility issues with filter drivers and/or file systems developed
using the Windows XP SP1 IFS Kit? That is, have there been any significant
changes in the file system interfaces?
Thanks.
In general a filter developed on XP should run just fine on Windows
Server 2003. Like all new releases, new features have been added to the
system which might affect some filters.
Come to the next IFS PlugFest (scheduled for the week of April 21st,
2003) and test your filter against the Windows 2003 RTM bits. A more
formal announcement of this is coming soon.
