Windows Logo Program Partner Satisfaction Survey - Summer 2007
We want you to help drive the long-term Windows Logo Program strategy

The Windows Logo Program team is conducting a survey to get your thoughts
and help prioritize the areas we need to focus on to improve your
experience in creating great products. We would like to hear from you, and
this is your opportunity to provide feedback that will directly affect the
future of this program.

The results of this survey will help Microsoft develop a better
understanding of what is important to our partners.

Survey availability:
. Opens July 25, 2007
. Closes August 20, 2007

To take the survey, please go to
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=95671
http:.

Your time is valuable, and Microsoft respects that. The survey should take
no longer than 20 minutes, and responses will be kept strictly
confidential. We appreciate your participation and willingness to provide
feedback on the Windows Logo Program.</http:>

Note that the survey is at least partially broken: Q2 says “check all that apply”, but if I tried to check more than one box, I got an error.

Maybe they should have used DTM to test the survey?

LOL… I take it back! After a few tries, it let me check multiple boxes…

I just don’t know,

Peter,

The probably did WHQL the survey, you know like the tests they tell
you “if you can get it pass one time in 40 submit that run”

The WHQL Newsletter that announced the survey:

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/whql/resources/news/WHQLNews_073007.htm

also made an interesting change to the Unclassified logo policy:

“…changing the current Unclassified Program Logo policy to allow signature
of a driver even if a logo program is already defined for that device/driver
category.”

I saw that too, and it also says

“Please refer to POLICY-0003, POLICY-0017, and POLICY-0021 for the updates
and clarifying notes regarding this policy change”.

It would be cool if those (updated) policies were easily reachable on the
microsoft web site. Yesterday after 30 minutes of browsing (I’m probably
dumb) I was able to track down two out of three policies in one of the word
documents online (I don’t remember which ones). And obviously the document I
found was out-of-date, as it was still says that you cannot use the
unclassified submission for devices that have a class.

Just my two cents.

Hey, just open up your WinQual account, and grab the stuff ;-( Of course
this assumes that your company has a WinQual account, and that you as a
developer has access to it. Pretty stupid that a set of tests and data
that Microsoft claims are there to improve quality, have a lot of the
information and support walled up behind accounts that many people do not
have access to.

Already opened my WinQual account and grab… what? :frowning: As I said, I feel
dumb for spending so much time to find information that is deep buried
somewhere or not up-to-date. Or even not finding anything useful. Expecially
for an unclassified signature (my case), which is not a logo certification.

End of my ranting, sorry.
