WinDbg and local kernel debugging

I just noted in widbg docs that to enable local kernel debugging (in fact browsing :slight_smile: it is necessary to add /debug switch to the boot.ini entry. It is a surprise for me because I never used it and “windbg -kl” works and always worked for me as expected. Am I missing something?

What OS has that worked on? Server 2003 or earlier?

XP SP0 and probably also SP1. Haven’t tried it at Server 2003.
