Dear Friends,
I have just completed writing a Virtual Serial Port driver for
NT/2000. I am trying to start with writing the same for 95/98 as a port
driver Vxd. I am not able to figure out where to start (I find that most
of the samples are in assembly and there is no clear documentation on how
to start writing drivers - something like first implement DriverEntry,
them do dispatch function mapping …etc. etc. in Win 2K). Is assembly a
must for writing 95/98 driver or can it be done using ‘C’ justlike in Win
NT/2K? Please help. I thought Win 95/98 drivers are much simpler than Win
NT/2K but I don’t think so now!
Regards,
Ganesh
Hi
If you have Numega Driver Studio, you can use the example programs. DDK
contains only ASM code.
Thanks,

We can write VxDs in C using DDK. Try “Writing Windows VxD & Device Drivers”
by Karen Hazah.
