Why can't delete a exist route by "route.exe delete " ? (Followup...)

I think I am encountering an issue similar to yours - just a few days later.

When you add the primary route on the interface give it a higher metric. I believe that will also increase the metric of the multicast route on the interface.

I am using basically identical logic to add routes on Vista that I have used on pre-Vista, but the behavior is different on Vista. In particular metrics are apparently handled differently. Because of the new Vista metric behavior routes basically get screwed up if the XP route additon logic is followed.

Using dual-boot machine with exactly the same interfaces on XP and Vista.

Just watch out for Vista IP metrics…

Slightly off-topic, so “How does this apply to NTDEV?”. Routes are being added from the kernel…
