Anyone can answer my question?
my driver is a virtual modem driver for our company’s CDMA phone. Windows application can use this driver to access the Internet. At the same time, Fax application on Windows can use this driver to send fax to other fax machin by CDMA air network.
Also, appllication can use this driver to send AT commands to the CDMA phone to get its data e.g. pictures and phonebook.
I have downloaed the DTM, and installed the DTM controller. I’m reading the DTM’s document. There are many class Logo Tests,e.g. Audio device testing, network controller testing, storage Testing and Unclassified signature testing.
I remember that there is a wireless modem test in HCT 12.1. But I cannot find it in DTM.
I just want to know which class test need I run.
thank you very much.

There is no wireless modem test in DTM, just use “Unclassified”.
Hi Chris Aseltine
Thank you very much.
Can you be sure about it? Did you pass the WHQL using “Unclassified” class in DTM?
No MS’s support engineers (I found them in winqual web site) answer my question.
Can you tell me some MS’s DTM support engineers?
Than you very much!
Denny
Look on Microsoft.com for support services and open an incident. You could
use one of the MSDN incidents to obtain this service.

Yes, many times.
No MS’s support engineers (I found them in winqual web
site) answer my question.
In our case, we had a fairly protracted set of discussions with the WHQL folks about the proper set of tests for our device (this was right during the HCT => DTM transition around the end of last year).
The device itself was a “wireless modem” but presented itself in a variety of modes (USB modem, CDC Ethernet, custom USB driver, etc.)
After messing with HCT/NDISTest for quite awhile (and getting nowhere) we eventually just migrated to DTM and used Unclassified for all of them, and passed fairly easily after that.
To David’s point, I don’t think you should have to open a support incident just to find out which set of tests to use. I always used the xxxxx@microsoft.com or xxxxx@microsoft.com aliases and got help fairly expediently.
Dear Chris and David
Thank you very much.
hi Chris , I find the same thing that HCT’s NDIS is very difficult to pass. Can you tell me your email?
thanks again.

HCT can only be used for your own gratification. It does have some good
tests and in the file systems arena is a much better test suite than the
WLK. If you can’t pass the HCT, then your driver has some work to be done
before release.

Thank you David.
You are right. HCT is very well on some driver’s function test. we will pass HCT’s test ultimately.
huaping
my email is xxxxx@gmail.com
thanks

When I say that I had trouble with the NDIS tests, I meant for my NDIS <==> USB driver, which (due to how the device was set up) had some quirks with regards to the test itself. My USB modem driver, on the other hand, doesn’t have any trouble with it.

I would prefer to help you on the list so other people can benefit via the archives, etc.
