Hi
I see in DDK sample drivers like Toaster or Ramdisk that
they create a new class for their devices. This make AddDevice
is called when they start up.
But, with other classes, like Disk, floppies, … AddDevice
is not called until the bus driver create the correct PDO.
I think that in the first case the class is recognized like
new ‘hardware bus’ class or new ‘root class’. The Pnp manager create
this device to manager the new bus type.
If is this true, I don’t know how the system recognized a
‘root class’ from a ‘normal class’.
All not system defined classes are recognized like a ‘root class’?
