VToolsD with C7

Hi all,

I am using VToolsD to buid a vxd. This work very well. When I try use the
c7 (Visual Studio .Net) to compile the vxd, it is built and work normally,
but I can not translate the symbols using the Symbol Loader of SoftIce. The
Symbol Loader present “Invalid Executable” message on try translate the vxd.

just use nmsym.exe from the latest softice driver suite and it will
recognize symbols on vc7 format.

Thanks for your help. Can you say me what is the date of nmsym.exe that you
use?
My nmsym.exe is 11/07/2001 from Driver Stdio 2.6.

Oi, Fernando,

I’m one of the dev managers in the DriverStudio team. You need DriverStudio
2.7 to be able to handle VC7 symbols. If you’re a registered user, or if you
register your DS copy, there are ways to get DS 2.7. You can check with your
local rep, or you can send an email to our support guys - I don’t give you
the info right here and now because I have no idea of how to do it !

P.S. make sure that your debug is in the .vxd not in .pdb and that you
and not putting edit-and-continue stuff there :slight_smile:
