virtual partition

I’d like to make a virtual partition that should be mounted from the file
system. Is it possible at all?
As I saw it is not enough to specify the type of the device as
FILE_DEVICE_DISK. What else should I do?
Thank you !

  • Make it a PDO.
  • Register and activate a volume interface to the PDO.
  • Create a user-visible symbolic link (in ??) to the DO.
  • Respond appropriately to various DISK, STORAGE and MOUNTDEV IOCTLs.
