Vendor ID and Device ID.

Hi, All
Can anybody tell me how to get Vendor ID and Device ID of a Card.?
And also, how do you know that which card attached to which device. Is there
any API available.
Any kind of help is very appreciated.
Thanks, Binary

NT 4 or 2000 and above?

If NT 4 then you call the HalGetBusData, re-iteratively till you find yours.
If 2000 then it is part of the StartDevice information in IO_STACK_LOCATION.

Which OS?

For NT try reading “Windows NT Device Driver Development” by Peter Viscarola
and Tony Mason. ISBN: 1-57870-058-2.
