I am currently trying to learn how to write a WDM Video Streaming driver and
have build the DDK example usbintel.sys that is a sample driver that uses
the USBCAM.sys driver.
When I studied the source for the Intel driver, it documents which Intel
camera it works with. Luckily, this camera is in stores now so I picked one
up.
(Intel PC Camera Pro Pack).
Now for my question.
I noticed that Win2k automatically installs a usbintel.sys, and I assumed
that driver corresponded to the DDK example. When I plugged the INTEL camera
in, it installed fine, loaded what I assumed would have been the
usbintel.sys driver and works great.
Now,
Taking a closed look, I realized that it was NOT using the supplied
usbintel.sys driver, but was using a driver called icam3.sys.
Is icam3.sys the same driver as usbintel.sys ?
If not, what is usbintel for -
Thanks
