Hi all,
I wonder if the ramdisk sample available at Microsoft’s site can be converted back to Win95/9x and if someone has performed this conversion. Also I wonder if there is other than ramdisk-like way to implement a virtual disk drive on Win9x systems.
Thanks,
Roman
Hello Roman
What I came to know that Ramdisk code wont work for Win9x, I have used the
code of ‘Scramdisk3’ and it woked perfectly on Win-98.

Anuj

Hi,
Anuj
Scramdisk works well for 98 but in its core the Ramdisk is used. So it
must be possible to get the code of Ramdisk working for 98/95.

Hi Rakesh
You are very correct that in Scramdisk the code of Ramdisk has been used but
they have written it specially for port drivers and also u must be knowing
that if we’ll create virtual drive via Ramdisk it wont get mounted after
rebooting the system as the memory gets allocated via RAM. But yah it may be
possible to allocate it via disk also and for Win98 I tried it but doesnt
work and Scramdisk worked perfectly.

Anuj
