trap calls to i/o port (specially cmos 70 71h )using a driver?

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is any way to trap
calls to i/o port (specially cmos 70 71h )using a
driver. so that i can prevent user from accessing cmos
and doing any changes in it.

plz give a proper guidence.

Not speaking about you should sent this question to NTDEV,
any application that needs access to I/O ports must
install a driver which will do this.
If any app has sufficient rights to install a driver,
no one can prevent it from anything.

The OS itself will prevent the users from accessing the ports from user
mode.
