Hey Lyndon,

Thanks for your nice comments regarding - “Doubts in
Shadow Device implementation” mail. Yes i agree with your point - So
in my create dispatch construct (enough of) the filename to decide
whether i want the irp to fail, and if i want the irp to fail just
complete the irp with fail status and dont pass down. Consider the
case, i need some more information about the file from file system (
File Creation Time, File Last Write time …) , Please let me know
what i have to do for getting some more information from file system
using “IoCreateFileSpecifyDeviceObjectHint” technique. Awaiting for
your precious reply.

Hey raja raja

I think, if you have a good read of the ifs kit docs for this function where
you will find a lot of information, and a bit of a think, it should all be
clear.
