Hi,
We have completed our kernel socket library. In the next month we are
participating in some technical fests. For the presentation we need to
develope some jazzy application to show the functionality of our
library.(Jazzy b’coz people don’t know much about TDI…They would like
something moving).
So can anyone suggest us some application which we can develop in 20
days!!!
We are thinking on porting some linux apps in win2000 kernel…
thanks in advance

vijender
Porting linux apps … 20 days … and working ?
I like to see some quality MPEG1 clips streaming through
the network from a central server : a “Local advertisement
network” . Does this sounds jazzy ?

Dear sir,
We have already implemented a network block driver in win2k.You can mount
any remote disk on your m/c and work on that…

hi,
We have few ideas but we aren’t sure, how much time it’ll take to complete
them.
First is to share a USB device over the LAN.
Then we can implement the Remote desktop utility of win2000.The difference
will be u’ll be only able to view others desktop without their permission.
What do u think ,can any of these be implemented in a month…

vijender
For demo? Maybe … with 24 hour days …
A lot depends on how much you intend to re-write from LINUX to Windows. You
can buy a lot of time by re-defining LINUX unknowns as Windows functions. In
November I ported 10K lines of LINUX to Windows in about 30 days time. I
don’t know what your line count is, but I do know I was working 10 to 15
hour days on a fixed contract.
