System hangs up.....

Hi All,
I am facing a issue sometimes while running the load my system hangs up
and i m left with no other option except to power off the machine. I have
got a Intel Xeon dual processor m/c on which Driver Verifier with Special
pool, Low Resource simulation, Pool Tracking, I/O verification option is
also configured for my driver. Compuware Driver Studio’s Softice is also
enabled on the m/c but only after a few minutes of the load my m/c hangs up.
I don’t find any clue to resolve the problem as neither the crash dump is
generated to debug nor softice traps the error.
Plz suggest me the solution to resolve the issue.

I would suggest the following.

Break into the system when it is hung and grovel through the threads and see
if there is a deadlock occurring. This would be the first thing I would do.
I am not familiar with SoftIce but if they have the equivalent of the !locks
command found in WinDbg it will make things much easier.

Hi,

And try to findout if there is an CPU microcode patch for your CPU.
If with !CPUINFO the Update Signature is al zeros, there usually is one.
