Hi all,

Can I attach a storage filter to a particular volume or it can be attached
to the entire hard drive only?

Thank you,
Roman

By “volume” I mean “partition”

Thank you for the answer. Could you detail how can I attach to a particular
device stack? Should I specify somewhere the type of filtered devices?

There are several ways to attach the volume filters below the FSD and above
FtDisk/DmIo.

Dan,

Do I understand you correctly that I should specify the proper class GUID?

What if I install a driver in my application using SCM. I can’t specify class GUID’s there, can I?

Thank you,
Roman

Don’t know, but offhand I would say don’t do it that way.
