SPAM Misusing "OSRs" Name to NTDEV/NTFSD

NTFSD/NTDEV Members:

It’s come to our attention that a number of people on this list MAY have
received a spam-o-gram, maquerading as a subscription verification request,
that prominently displays the name “OSR Open Systems Resources Inc”. A copy
of the annoying piece of trash appears below.

This email has nothing to do with OSR. We’re in the process of attempting
to track-down the culprits… (Peter promises to punish them, if they can
ever be found, by making them listen to one of his WDM IRP handing
lectures).

Our apologies. We work very hard to ensure this doesn’t happen. And it
pisses us off when folks use our name this way…

Yes, I saw that one. I junked it without even noticing the part
purporting to be from OSR.

Luckily or not, I haven’t received that message. But if I did I would
suspect from such content.
What has G7 Productivity Systems (www.g7ps.com) to say about this?
(That sure looks like a good place to start looking for clues of what
happened… maybe their site was attacked, I dunno…)
