SOT: Drivers and Safe Mode

Hi all -

This isn’t exactly fs related, but does anyone have any good links or
resources on how to configure a driver to run in Safe Mode on 2000? The
TechNet library had some useful info, but not quite enough for me.

Thanks in advance!

What kind of configuration are you looking for? What kind of driver
(network, video, etc…)? You looking for registry settings?

It’s a file system filter driver that should be booted up into safe mode.
While I am looking specifically for changes that need to be made in the
registry, I’m looking for more general info as well.

If your filter is defined to load at boot time (has a start type of zero in its service entry) it will always be loaded, even during safe boot.
