something in NOTEPAD.EXE

hi,
I created a file system filter under win2K, when some
application open a file,I can read/write buffer in
IRP_MJ_read/wirte,but now I have a problem for some
days.that is:when NOTEPAD.EXE or WINWORD.EXE open a
file,i can’t control the buffer,sometimes there’re nothing
in buffer, the other times I can’t change the buffer. It bother
me for days, and i still don’t know the reason.
BTW:when a .EXE file loaded, the same things happen.
anyone can help me?

Are you handling paging I/O properly? Notepad uses memory mapping for its
files, so the only read and write IRPs that you have are for paging I/O
operations.
