SoftIce 3.2 on xp sp is not working for me.
/noexecute=alwaysoff is in boot.ini and hyperthreading is off
After hitting a break point some small number of times, the machine either
locks up or get a bogus bugcheck (invalid kernel object)
This driver is very simple and I have been running under winbag for quite
some
time, so I have a high level of confidence that the bug check has nothing to
do with my driver.
Interaction problems between your driver and SoftICE are probably best left
to Numega support, doubt anyone here will be very helpful (outside of
recommendations to uninstall one of the two offending components)

I’ve had the usual (common, perhaps) mystery video, mouse and keyboard
problems. These were fixed by downloading that .DAT file of which I
can’t remember the name (check Frontline if you haven’t done so yet).

This is the OSINFO.DAT file. I’ve not seen this particular problem but
downloading this file (and an updated video driver) fixed several problems I
had on Windows 2003. Failing that, I’ve always found Compuware’s technical
support team to be very good.

Make sure that you are loading the correct symbols for NTOSKRNL.EXE.
