Hi All
After a long time I am back to the system level and driver programming.
I have a old version of SoftIce that worked on NT.
I am not able to use the same on Win2K/XP. It says not designed for this
version of the OS.
Could someone point me to a location from where I can buy or download this?
Thanks for your help,
Cheers
Ramananda
Softice is no longer supported. Compuware / Numega discontinued this
product - it’s officially dead.
Get use too using WinDbg - you don’t have much of a choice.

For XP SP2, you need the latest SI version 4.3.2,
from Driver Studio 3.2

Please note that Compuware has discontinued the DriverStudio product, which
SoftIce was part of. You might be able to purchase a license from them, but
they won’t sell you any support, so you’ll be on your own if it doesn’t work
for you.
I would suggest getting the Debugging Tools for Windows and learning to use
WinDbg. It’s really quite good these days, and it’s still free.
Good luck!
