Hello All !
Does anybody know, How to set (or change) IP address for TCP/IP protocol without rebooting of the system?
I know, it possible for Win 2k, but How about Windows NT? IS it possible?
Thanks in advance.
Maxim.

Maxim,
I do not believe that it is possible in Windows NT 4. NetSH is available in Windows 2000.

Surely, by means of Control Panel at least.
I expect some undocumented IOCTLs to be there. Try to reverse-engineer the DLL called from the TCPIP’s INF file.

I never tried to figure out why, but some of my NT4 systems allow the IP address to be changed without rebooting (i.e., my
Hatiachi laptop)
and some don’t (i.e., my Dells).

Hi, Dave!
Do you have the same version of Windows NT4 with the same SP on your
Hatiachi laptop and Dell? Or may be you have different Service Parks on your
systems?
Maxim.
