hi all,
I am facing a problem here !! I am not able to start a service it gives
an error code of 1058 ( unable to start service service disabled ). But I
did not disable ther service any idea why it is happening ??

no the value in the registry is set to 2!!! The funny thing
that is happening is when i give an entirely different image
path where the service exe does not exits i was expecting a
service not found error but I am getting the same error ??? Your
help will be appriciated

Does the service depend on any other services, if so are any of those
disabled?

Was the device and driver installed? That’s roughly equivalent to asking if
the computer is plugged into the power outlet by the way.
Crank up WinDbg and find out what DriverEntry is returning.
