I am new to the device driver development and I am stuck with this problem:
When I tried to send a vendor specific ATA command encapsulated in a SCSI CDB, DeviceIOControl function returned an error code 0x045D.
I tried sending ATA IDENTIFY command using the same CDB (Except for the encapsulated ATA) the DeviceIOControl call did not failed.
Is it possible to send a vendor specific ATA command using this IO control code?
By the way, I am testing a storage device connected in IDE. The test PC’s OS is WinNT 4.0.
