All,
I apologize for using this list for solicitation, and this will be the only
message I send on the subject. I humbly ask for your pardon.
I need to get a new ATAPI driver up and running. I could reverse-engineer
the MS version, as several of you have done, and I might end up doing that
if the cost of acquiring an existing driver is too high. As several of you
have documented, that’s time consuming. I would prefer to buy a source
license and get on with some of the other projects I have on my plate.
To this end, I am asking for proposals/quotes from anyone who has a working
Win2K/XP ATAPI driver for which they are willing to sell the source.
Having lived with the limitations of the SCSIPORT/miniport architecture
while I worked at Intel, I am far more inclined toward a full port driver.
However, I will consider miniports as well.
Please do not send source code at this time, unless you are giving it away.
Any source received prior to my explicit request for such will be deleted
without examination.
Please reply directly to me. Replying to this list will move you to the
end of the queue for consideration.
Thanks,
Phil
