HI
I want to rename a file and would like to know if the file gets triggered
during rename.
For example, when I rename, if it is a virus, is there a chance of it
getting activated during rename.
Please point me to the right place if this is not,
Thanks

I am afraid I don’t understand your question.
What do you mean by “the file gets trigered” ?
And also, at what level do you want to rename the file ?
In a filter driver ? In application ?
L.
triggered?

I want to do it at application level. I just wanted to know if the virus in
a file can trigger if I try to rename the file. Or the triggering takes only
if I try to open the file.
By triggering I mean, the virus getting activated.
Thanks
