Recent IFS Kits for NT,W2K and XP

Does anybody know from where I can get them? Can it be downloaded from
somewhere?

What I have on CDs are:
NT IFS Kit, 5.0 Beta-1 Update, August 1998
W2K - A CD received for one of the plugfests with no version nor date on it
XP - RC1 (Build 2505)

I’m not sure that what I have are actually the most recent versions of the
kits. So
can anybody tell me what is missing and how can I get most recent kits.

Thanks in advance,

Vladimir

P.S. Sorry for this type of Qs but I recently was away from KM programming
and could miss something :frowning:

Thanks, Molly!

How about NT&W2K Kits? Is what I have “recent enough”?

TIA,

Valdimir

Ken,

Drivers built using the .NET Server version of the IFS kit will certainly
run under Windows XP SP1.

I believe that the kit with the “NT IFS Kit 5.0 Beta 1” label is a beta
version of what became the W2K IFS Kit. At that point in time, all the
product names hadn’t been converted to “Windows 2000” yet.

I can’t remember what version of the W2K version we gave out at that
Plugfest. I have a copy of the final version of the W2K IFS Kit and
timestamp for the CABS directory is December 8, 1999. That date should
be unique for all releases of the Kit, so check to see if that matches
what you’ve got.

Hope that helps,

Molly

Molly, is that IFS build 2600 kit good enough for .NET development too?
(It appears to be OK for .NET beta 3 build 3590, but I want to
double-check.)

There will be an updated IFS Kit for .NET that will include the build
environment for .NET, XP and W2K, updated docs and samples. Until then,
XP 2600 kit should be sufficient.

Molly,

Do you know if current XP IFS Kit owners get an automagic update, or will
it require ordering another one?

Thanks,

Phil
