Simply replacing the header file does not imply that the implementation has
been provided by the miniport or protocol driver.

Most probably the IOCTL isn’t implemented for the driver Ornico PC Card in
this case

I’m trying to add wireless OID query support , using
The packet.sys sample code in WIN 2k.

I’ve replaced the ntdndis.h (Win 2k DDK) with
The ntdndis.h of XP DDK. This gets me the wireless OID definitions.

However I’m unable to get a successful query on any of the wireless
OID’s .

I’m using an Ornico PC Card

Can someone please help me out?

It seems that Orinoco card driver doesn’t implement some OIDs. There is no problem for you to query some information. I tried it before. But, if you want changed access point dynamically, it will fail.
