You know I am tempted to point out that the C++ compiler has not such a
‘relaxed nature’ and in this respect alone is vastly superior to the C
version, but this debate has no resolution other than the market’s
evolution, so I will refrain and let nature takes its course :slight_smile:

And I feel that a compiler giving an error is more effective than lint
complaining – you’re not under any compulsion to fix lint’s
complaints

I’m under compulsion. I do not like the code built be warnings to run, due
to relaxed nature of C language.
