Re: WDK 7600: So far, so good. - DEBUGGER

hmm… i too chose not to install debuggers with wdk and remember seeing a
message in the installer that said about uninstalling Debugging tools for
windows so i immediately checked start menu and windbg was still there. may
be this does not happen on all systems.

I just installed WDK 7600. When started, WinDbg checbox was checked.
When unchecked, new task for removing it was added. So I left it checked
and it seems my current WinDbg installation was left unchanged.

It is better than before but still not-so-smart and a bit
counter-intuitive. Is it so hard to find out WinDbg was installed
separately and ignore it in this case?

It is frequently best to wait until day two of THE RTM to do anything.

On the other hand, both my win7 upgrade and my win7 replacement
install for desktop and netbook have so far been bug free (that I know
of.)
