Perhaps also the thrust of development has moved away from PC/Windows to
tablets, Apple etc?

Does anyone have relevant figures for app launches, OS sales etc (real ones,
not in the box bundled OS shipments)? Or general feelings for the way things
are going?

I suspect two key reasons for overall decline:
Better tools from Microsoft lead to fewer questions; and
Vista was a long time ago now and no similar paradigm shifts have happened
(VS is back, but that is less dramatic I think)

There’s been a steady decline over the years in the number of posts.

If you go back to 2010, we averaged almost 2,000 posts a month. If you look
at 2014, we averaged about 1,000.

We had a significant drop-off in November 2014… anybody have any idea why
that would be?

I’ll be back in a second to deal with Mr. Bassov’s post…
