IMHO, there are already way more important stuff at stakes for well-funded hackers to have a feast on it.
So I’m not worried about voting systems or fridge or that German house on fire

talking about online voting. No, thank you. I want something physical
in my hands that can be traced. It has already been amply demonstrated
that we cannot build hack-proof systems today. Is there any target more
attractive to well-financed hackers than voting? If you have some crooked county clerk who shuffles paper ballots off to
the side without running through the counting them, an audit team can
follow along later and run them through again to fix the problem. But
when everything is digital, what can the audit team do?“HAL, please count the ballots again.”
“Mr. Smith, I come up with the same results. No HAL 9000 has ever
made a mistake or distorted information. By the way, I have the utmost
confidence in the mission.”–
