Well if you have ever tried a system which isolates drivers, you would call
that slow design. Most of us would not be happy with a performance that
was as slow as the systems that secure this. Microsoft is working to fix
things pretty well with UMDF and similar initatives, but commercial systems
still require good quality drivers for robustness.
