Believe it or not, but you are probably one of the few people that use
these advanced debugging commands on XP outside Microsoft, because you’re
the only person to have ever reported these bugs.
Andre, don’t take this personally, 'cause you’ve been doing a great job with
our friend windbg, but over the years we have gotten used to ‘the bag’ being
an essential tool but an unsupported buggy mess. When we tried to debug XP
B1+B2 and found debugger problems, we shrugged and said, ‘oh well, its broke
again’ and figured it would eventually get fixed.
The fact that nobody reports these bugs is more a reflection of the sad
history of windbg rather than lack of customer experienced defects. We out
here must do a better job of using the official channels, we can hardly
expect you to fix bugs we don’t report, but you shouldn’t leap to
conclusions about what has or hasn’t been experienced.
