: RE: [ntdev] A questions about driver stack.

Hi, Molan

Thanks very much.In fact, we want to develope a 3G/GPRS PCMCIA modem. The
chipset only support UART and USB interface. The UART speed can’t fufill
our request, so we choose USB.But on laptop, the interface is PCMCIA, so
we need a transformation betwwen USB and PCMCIA, we got the philips’
PCI<->USB chip, and they say through some changing, it can apply as
USB<->PCMCIA application.

We get the USB<->PCI evaluation board and it’s win98 driver. It’s PCI open
HCI usb interface board and support usb hub.It’s installation
automatically in WIN2000 and need driver in win98.

I have a question, if we change it to PCMCIA<->USB interface and plug into
laptop, does it still install automatically in WIN2000 and need driver in
win98. If so, we only need write usb modem driver. If not, what can I do?

Hope for your answers.
