Hi,
I should clarify what I want to do.
I was asked to port a driver which can create a USB Modem and also several
virtual COM ports under Windows 2000 to Windows 98 SE. Since I have the source
code, the easiest way to implement the same driver in Windows 98 SE is to port
it, not to create a new one.But I know little about driver developing, really
don’t know whether it is possible to port such kind of driver. :(((((
I’ve been looking for the answer for about a month, no one ever did such kind
of porting, so I still have no idea about it. :~~~((
Hope you guys can save me out.

There was some ccport.sys which provided a WDM-to-VXD bridge for serial
drivers,
Any reference documents or code for ccport.sys WDM-to-VXD bridge usage?
but it supported only a subset of serial, enough for TAPI/Unimodem,
not enough for other purposes.
since ccport.sys supported only a subset of serial, is it enough for virtual
COM ports driver? I want to port a driver which can mapping the USB device
into several virtual COM ports. Do you think it is right and possible to use
this technique? The primary purpose of ccport was - to simplify writing USB modem
drivers
for Win9x.
