Re: How to delete Registry Entries ? - Thank you

Nice tip, Thomas: thank you. I’m finally able to workaround this minor
“issue”
that kept me puzzled: despite of being able to add/start/stop/remove my
kernel
driver experiments (W2K environment) using local SCM, there’s always a

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_xxx

key that is created whenever the driver is installed for the 1st time;
until now,
I was not able to remove this key (once the experiment was not necessary
anymore)
using regedit (even with Admin privileges), but your mail brought up the
solution
(using regedt32 was ok). After reading your mail, I also searched
through the
MSDN Library and found up some tips on this subject.

Once again, thanks.

Use regedit32. Select the key to delete. Then select the Security menu
item.
Check the box that allows full control and apply it. You should then be
able
to delete the key.

You may need to be running as Administrator to do this.
