OK sure but linux and nt are up and running at the same time so one can flip
back and forth. I actually have no idea what the original poster is trying
to do, other than get a free linux filesystem for nt

I think it requires Samba to run in the Linux VM so that NT can see the
linux partitions. They do not have a native NT file system for the various
Linux partitions.

Check out vmware at www.vmware.com http: , their product
supports running nt under linux or linux under nt. Otherwise one would have
to write an NT filesystem, and that is non-trivial.
