Exactly what I needed - a way to auto-attach and to manually attach
(first thing = BOOM, second thing = no booms).
Hmm, that’s not what I like to hear :-). Oh well, since I don’t
have a TPM module anywhere in my reach, I can’t do much with

I couldn’t find it anywhere in Europe (Infineon laptops seem to
be the only thing that has them - they were, so I’m told, available, but
not active in MacBooks).
I’ll keep the group posted.
(BTW, considering your target audience (for FileSpy), I doubt
someone will mind if auto-attaching bugs a TPM module

That’s true, but one of my goals when I wrote it, was
possibility to filter more “exotic” file systems
(see the “attach device by name” feature). And at least
one guy from this forum used it for monitoring his own file
system.
But this truly looks like a bug in TPM, so maybe all this
is a hint for someone completely else
