purge volume

Is there any way to purge volume without getting lock to the volume?.
I am not finding any MJ_FLUSH for cdfs.

Thanks
Ramaraj

FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME will both flush and purge(discard) the file system
cache for a volume, AND it will work even if you don’t already have a lock
on the volume. All you need is a valid handle to the volume. Speaking of
Windows 2000 that is - I’m not sure about NT4 or XP/Whistler.
