PSAPI and WDK 7100.0.0

I’m building a user-mode driver that needs to use functionality exposed by
the PSAPI library. However, the 7100.0.0 WDK doesn’t include the psapi.h
header although it includes the corresponding psapi.lib. Does anybody know
why that is? Is it acceptable to “borrow” the header from the Windows 7 SDK?

/ Soren

The WDK is not a full ask, whatever is missing is just due to no one needing it for WDK content.

You don’t find it odd that somebody compiled the libraries but didn’t
include the header?

It is odd, but the way we built the kit for w7 might also be considered odd by some. We are looking at how to make this better in the future.

Would you say it’s the “recommended approach” to simply borrow the required
header from the Windows SDK then?

That would be your only option, really, other than declaring what you need
yourself.

I’m assuming here that the library doesn’t exist in the SDK (I have no
idea).

Good luck,
