Hi All,
I am writing a new network redirector. Everything was fine till I checked
the new drive with MS-Office applications. It gives errors such as “No
access”, “Not formatted” and sometimes nothing. But the new drive shows
files/folders through windows explorer, IE, notepad etc and works fine.
I am using File monitor to check the IRPs and just about the same IRPs are
called for both MS-Word and notepad, but with Word it stops after few calls
for Query Info, Query Volume Info. Is there anything specific to be done to
support MS-Office applications.
The other thing that I noticed is, the new drive created always has a red x,
seen on its icon. Are these two problems related?
Please let me know any solution in case you know it.
Regards,
Ram
Implement byte range locking in your driver using FsRtl routines.
